Accessibility Statement
We want as many drivers as possible to be able to use TireHelpGuide. This statement sets out what we have done for accessibility so far, the limitations we are aware of, and how you can tell us when something is hard to use. It describes the site as built, and we will not claim full compliance unless it has been verified.
Our commitment
We want our guides and tools to be usable by people with a range of abilities and assistive technologies. Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time achievement, and we would rather describe honestly where we are than overstate our position. We do not claim conformance with a particular standard unless that conformance has been properly assessed.
Implemented features
We have built the site with accessibility in mind. Pages use semantic headings and a single main heading, and a skip link allows keyboard users to bypass the navigation. Interactive elements such as links, buttons and form fields are reachable and usable by keyboard, and visible focus styles show where you are. Images carry alternative text, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology. Form fields have associated labels and inline validation messages, and the calculators expose their inputs and outputs to assistive technology. Text is written to be readable, and the layout adapts to different screen sizes.
Known limitations
We know the site is not perfect. Some illustrations are simple placeholders and their descriptions may not yet capture every detail of a real photo. Complex interactive widgets can be more difficult to navigate with a screen reader than simple text, and we continue to test and refine them. Colour contrast, heading structure and form behaviour vary across browsers and assistive technologies, and issues can slip through. Where we become aware of a problem, we aim to fix it; where we cannot fix it quickly, we would rather acknowledge it than ignore it.
Feedback channel
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, please tell us through the contact page. It helps if you describe the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. Your feedback directly informs what we improve next. Our editorial policy explains the standards behind our content, and our corrections policy covers factual errors.
